prestigious
restaurant shares its spacious car park with Burgh's Grade 1 listed
windmill
- which provides the flour for the home baked bread served here. Frank,
the chef/proprietor has vast experience gained in Germany, Switzerland
and some of the finest hotels and restaurants in England. He is one of
only a select band of Master Chefs in Great Britain and is ably
assisted
by his wife, Janet. They pride themselves in providing "real food" and
fine service in well spaced and comfortable surroundings, using only
the
best, fresh and local ingredients from top suppliers.

The
Magpies is a short
stroll away from Horncastle town centre on the main route between
Lincoln &
Skegness in the conservation area of The Lincolnshire Wolds and
Tennyson

his team in the kitchen continue to use top quality mainly local

flowers on white linen covered tables. There is a wood burning stove
for cooler
months in the honey and russet coloured lounge, and for warmer months

opportunity to sit in the courtyard which is decked with large pots of

trees and shrubs, ideal for aperitifs or fresh coffee and home made
